It honors Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2005 during Operation Red Wings. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his courage, leadership, and sacrifice.
The workout—1 mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats, 1 mile run—was one of Murphy’s favorites.
At FitHaus, we don’t do Murph for a score or leaderboard. We do it to challenge ourselves, push through discomfort, and take a moment to reflect on something bigger than the workout in front of us.
