Cora’s pursuit in the world of strength and conditioning stems from her love for gymnastics. Through her years as a gymnast, Cora recognized the value of training and became passionate about health and human performance. She went on to study Movement Science at Winona State University and has held a variety of coaching positions since graduating in 2011. Aside from coaching CrossFit classes and personal clients at FitHAUS, Cora works for Rockford Area Schools as a strength & conditioning coach and youth gymnastics coach. Cora became involved in CrossFit in 2015 when she was encouraged by a friend to participate in the CrossFit Open and partner competitions. With her gymnastics background and competitive spirit, she discovered she was pretty good at the sport! From then, Cora developed a strong interest in Olympic Weightlifting as it’s similar in nature to gymnastics – requiring a great amount of athleticism (strength, power, flexibility, and balance) and self-confidence. Over the past couple of years, she has focused her own training and continuing education on weightlifting technique and programming. Cora enjoys learning about the art and science of weightlifting and applying new information in training programs for both herself as an athlete and those she coaches. She is beyond grateful to be part of an incredible community at FitHAUS and looks forward to sharing her love for life and training with you!
